Minidoka Pilgrimage - Minidoka Internment National Monument was established in 2001 as the 385th unit of the National Park System to commemorate the hardships and sacrifices of Japanese Americans interned there during World War II. Also known as the 'Hunt Camp', the Minidoka Relocation Center was a 33,000-acre site with over 600 buildings and a total population of about 13,000 internees held from Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. It was in operation from August 1942 until October 1945.
Manzanar Committee - What distinguishes our site from other sites about Manzanar is our focus on the over 39-year history of sponsoring the annual Manzanar Pilgrimage, and the grassroots efforts of the Manzanar Committee, a small, but dedicated group of volunteers, founded by Sue Kunitomi Embrey in 1969.
Densho - Densho's mission is to preserve the testimonies of Japanese Americans who were unjustly incarcerated during World War II before their memories are extinguished. We offer these irreplaceable firsthand accounts, coupled with historical images and teacher resources, to explore principles of democracy and promote equal justice for all.
Japanese American Network - is a partnership of Japanese American organizations based in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. A goal of this partnership is to encourage the use of the Internet and interactive communications technologies to exchange information about Japanese Americans -- art, culture, community, history, news, events, social services, and public policy issues. The website is a volunteer project and depends on community participation and contributions.
